Today is Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving!
Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the last decade, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
As a -not-for-profit, we've been encouraged to create a donations page and ask our lovely supporter to send us money...
We didn't want to do that, so instead we made this list of ways people can 'give' without parting with any money.
-
Reach out to a loved one
Even for a quick catch-up, let someone know you are thinking of them. Isolation can affect anyone. a text, email or phone call can be the first move to a much needed conversation. -
Interect with small bussinesses or artist social media
Every Like, comment and share helps small businesses and independant artist grow their following, and reach more people. This can take 5 minutes but make someones whole day! -
pick up rubbish in your local community
This doesnt have to be a full days work, or a whole team of people. Next time you see a piece of rubbish, pick it up and recyle it! -
Donate Clothes & Toys
Your un-needed clothes, toys and household items can be used by Food Banks, Local Organisations, Charity Shops and Appeal Centers. -
Give BLood... If you can
Your blood can help save a life. Find out more at NHS Blood Donation. -
Advocate for a meaningful cause
Use your voice! In person, on social media or to your local councilor: Let important matters be heard. -
Volunteer your time knowledge or skills
Many organsisations need volunteers to help with their amazing work. If you have any skills, why not offer them up for free to those in need.
